Porsche 911 GT3
The 911 GT3 continues the tradition of road-legal, race-worthy Porsche sports cars. Unveiled in 1999, the 911 GT3 is capable of lapping the 21-kilometre Nuerburgring Nordschleife in under eight minutes. The coupe is a lightweight thanks to thin glass, plastic and aluminium as well as dispensing with all comfort features. Its high-revving, normally aspirated engine features dry sump lubrication. The fuel tank under the front lid is enlarged to 89 litres. The stiffer suspension is lowered by 30 millimetres compared to the 911 Carrera, and adjustable for each race track. The brake system features 330-millimetre discs, four-piston callipers and a racing ABS. A Club Sport package includes a safety cage, seats with fire-retardant upholstery, a six-point driver’s harness, fire extinguisher and battery main switch.
