Competing players
28 in the singles main draw, 32 in singles qualifying, 16 pairs in the doubles main draw

Playing times
During the qualifying weekend, matches on Saturday, 20 April will be played on match courts 1 and 2 in the village from 10:00 hrs and on Centre Court in the Porsche Arena from 16:00 hrs (all times are CEST). The matches on Sunday, 21 April will begin on match courts 1 and 2 at 11:00 hrs.

On Monday, 22 April, qualifying matches and main draw 1st round matches will also be played in the village starting at 11:30 hrs as well as in the Porsche Arena. The highlight on Centre Court will be the Turkish Airlines Tiebreak with six top players at 18:30 hrs.

Play will begin in the Porsche Arena at 11:30 hrs daily from Tuesday, 23 April to Thursday, 25 April. The quarterfinal matches on Friday, 26 April will commence at 13:30 hrs. The first semi-final on Saturday, 27 April will go on court at 15:30 hrs and the second at 18:30 hrs. The singles final will begin on Sunday, 28 April at 16:00 hrs. The doubles final will take place earlier at 13:30 hrs.

Television
The Porsche Tennis Grand Prix will be televised live by Eurosport and the regional SWR channel. It will also be streamed live by DAZN. The n-tv news channel will show highlights.

SWR will broadcast live on Wednesday and Thursday from 13:30 hrs to 16:00 hrs. It will show the first quarterfinal on Friday at 13:30 hrs and the first semifinal on Saturday at 16:00 hrs. The final will be televised live from 16:00 hrs on Sunday. Should a German player reach the final, it will go out on ARD, the national TV channel.

Eurosport will begin live transmissions with the Turkish Airlines Tiebreak on Monday at 18:30 hrs. From Tuesday to Thursday, one match will be televised live at 18:30 hrs. The fourth quarterfinal will be shown on Friday at 20:30 hrs. The second semi-final is scheduled for Saturday at 18:30 hrs. A recording of the final is planned for Sunday at 18:30 hrs.
DAZB will show every Centre Court main draw match plus the Turkish Airlines Tiebreak as livestreams.
The n-tv news channel will televise a 25-minute Porsche Tennis Grand Prix highlights show daily from Thursday to Monday at 0:10 hrs.

Winner - singles: 123,610 euro
Winners - doubles: 38,665 euro

Main prize
The singles winner will receive the prize money and the main prize, a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet.

Status Porsche Tennis Grand Prix
The Porsche Tennis Grand Prix is a WTA Premier 700 event. Since moving to the Porsche Arena in 2006, the players have voted it as their favorite tournament worldwide nine times in its category (2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017).

First Porsche Tennis Grand Prix
First played in 1978, it is Europe’s oldest women’s indoor tournament. The first winner was the American Tracy Austin who went on to win the next three Grand Prix.

The most successful players
With six wins to her name, Martina Navratilova (USA) is the most successful player in the history of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix. Behind her are Tracy Austin (USA) and Martina Hingis (SUI) on four wins apiece, Maria Sharapova (RUS) and Lindsay Davenport (USA) with three wins and Anke Huber (GER), Kim Clijsters (BEL), Justine Henin (BEL) and Angelique Kerber (GER), who have each won twice.

German winners
Four German players have managed to win the tournament to date: Anke Huber (1991 and 1994), Julia Görges (2011), Angelique Kerber (2015 and 2016) and Laura Siegemund (2017).

Men’s tournament
The only Porsche Tennis Grand Prix for men was held in 1979. Two Porsche Grand Prix took place that year. For the record: The Pole Wojtek Fibak beat the Argentine Guillermo Vilas in the final and won a Porsche 928.
